I was recording some ak foley with an airsoft gun i had when i accidentally dropped it. The sound it made turned out so good that i ended up using it for this. This one is an attempt to replicate the ww2 enfield bolt action rifle the british used through world war 1 all the way to world war two and is even still used in some paramilitaries today. I used mostly recordings of the actual enfield rifle and just stacked them together, processed them with eq and multiband compression and several transient designers to bring out the snap and attached a reverb tail to it. Made this in ableton live.

Another of the recordings i did on my phone at work of a steel cable at tension between phone poles. Hitting it with a wrench and making laser sounds. Cleaned up in audacity as the other one was. One is better than the other but can't remember which one i liked the best. Use as you please. If you use it for something and have the time to tell me where it ended up, that's cool. File i recorded while at work on a telephone pole. I found a span of the steel cable they string between the poles that hold phone lines or cable lines. But this was just the bare span and nothing touching it. If you hit them with a wrench they make weird laser gun sounds. Recorded with my phone and cleaned up a bit in audacity. Use as you please. Rec by eric strausser_fireworks near launchpad_tascam da-p1_neumann rsm 191. This recording was made in the parking lot of a church. On the other side of a line of trees was the launch pad for the towns fire work show. The mic is angled at the sky. Along with the big round booms and flat smacky booms you can also make out the swish as rockets swirl through the air. In between booms, whistles and fizzles you you can also hear the sound of the debris from the cardboard shells falling around me. Sometimes they were on fire, though you can't hear that quality in the audio. It's good for fireworks and is pretty easy to eq for more of a distant quality. I find it's more fun using it to sweeten weapons. The full recording is 29 minutes.

24/48 mono recording of the sound of a fnx. 45 acp being shot slowly in a gun range 9 times. During the recording there are a couple shell casing that can be heard hitting the floor. There is a long break after the final shot before the target is recalled on the automatic rail system. There is a slightly echo-y natural reverberation to the gun range. Other than that the recording is very quiet in-between shots and each shot sound was allowed to dissipate before another round was fired.
